Walking under ladders, broken mirrors, 4-leaf clovers, lucky horse-shoes… the 2007 Field Show production of the Fabulous Marching Cavaliers centers around the notion of superstition.  In the introductory movement the group is “just asking for it” when they commit a series of blunders to those who believe in the Superstition of broken mirrors, walking under ladders, and the number 13.  In the second movement, they reap what they sow when things break down in a series of Unfortunate Events.  They get a Change of Luck in the third movement as they come across signs of good luck, and they are rewarded with Fortunate Events in the final movement as they set to right what went wrong!
